March 8 & 9: Mike Bonner
A 14-year veteran of the stand-up comedy scene, Bonner was one of 10 comedians selected in 1999 to appear at the prestigious, HBO-sponsored Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. He has appeared on Jamie Foxx Presents “Laffapalooza” on Showtime, HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam All-Stars” and seven seasons of BET’s “ComicView,” where he won his own Grandstand Comedy Special. A 36-year-old native of Detroit, Bonner’s act focuses on family life with his wife and three kids.
March 15 & 16: Bob Phillips
Bob Phillips has been performing at the country’s best theaters and clubs for more than 20 years. He covers a lot of ground, with a show that’s a blend of observational, topical, political and biographical. He talks about everyday subjects, from his Catholic upbringing to growing up in the seventies and the absurdities of modern life. Bob has been seen on the Fox series “Laughs” and is heard daily on SiriusXM satellite radio’s “Rawdog,” “Laugh USA” and “Jeff & Larry’s Comedy Roundup.” He is one half of the popular podcast, “The Sal & Bob Show.” Bob’s Open Bar Comedy Special will be released in April 2023. Sometimes biting, sometimes endearing, but always in charge, Bob Phillips isn’t cynical. But he is a smart aleck with a quick wit.
