September 6 & 7 | Light Up the Night

September 12 | A Trip Around the World with Rikki Neyer
Erickson Center for the Arts presents Rikki Neyer, who will perform a unique blend of classical opera and heartfelt storytelling from across the globe.
September 13 | Jamie Drake & i.am.james
Spend an evening with touring artist Jamie Drake and opening artist i.am.james (a Michigan native). This show will be fully seated, so prepare to kick back and enjoy some amazing performances.

September 14 | Art of Recovery
September is Recovery Month and Addiction Treatment Services is inviting you to celebrate and support your community at their upcoming fundraiser, Art of Recovery. You’ll enjoy some of the best food, drink and art in Northern Michigan, held in the beautiful setting of The City Opera House. Expect a silent auction featuring artwork from local artists and donors including The Dennos Museum, Glen Arbor Arts Center, and more. September 14 | Good on Paper Improv
Traverse City’s Good on Paper Improv will return to Traverse City Comedy Club for another hilarious performance.
September 15 | Vineyard at Sunset Fun Run
The Vineyard at Sunset Fun Run and 5K will be held once again at French Valley Vineyard in support of education at Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy.

September 20 – October 12 | Old Town Playhouse: Waitress
Find the recipe for hope in this touching musical, Waitress. This is a Michigan Community Theatre Premiere of the popular musical with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. Based on the 2007 film, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who is stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. She has big dreams–and big obstacles to overcome to reach them.

September 20 | Comedy with Josh Adams
Traverse City Comedy Club welcomes comedian Josh Adams to the stage. Adams has been crowned Detroit’s “King of Comedy” by many, as he brings a unique style that draws from pop culture and everyday life.
September 20 | The Mad Angler Meets The Mad Cellist
Cellist Crispin Campbell joins forces with Mike Delp (The Mad Angler) for a special evening of music and spoken word at The Alluvion in Traverse City.
September 20-22 | Trek The Mighty Mac
Trek The Mighty Mac is back! This year’s Trek will include a Mackinac Bridge Crossing along with all the other activities you love about this St. Ignace event. Registration deadline is Monday, September 9. There’s also plenty of fun to be had in downtown St. Ignace. Learn more here.
September 20 | Glenlore Trails: Enchanted
Prepare to be enchanted as you venture into an illuminated, spellbound forest where nothing is quite as it seems. You might even see a few wistful wraiths, frolicking fairies, and the weird wayward witch of the woods. Opening Night is September 20 with live music by Ben Sharkey. Music will continue the next night, September 21, with Full Tilt Boogie. Then, there’s a kids crafting night on September 29. Find more details here.

September 21 | Robin Wilson LIVE in Concert
Lead vocalist for the Gin Blossoms, Robin Wilson, is taking time off his tour to perform this solo-acoustic performance at the Au Sable Artisan Village.
September 27 | Metal Bubble Trio & Fake Baseball
Metal Bubble Trio unite with Fake Baseball for an an epic evening at The Alluvion. This show will be mostly standing and dance floor style, with some seating available.
September 27 |Traverse City Germanfest
Spend an “An Evening in Bavaria” with this beloved community event, Germanfest. Tickets will bring you plenty of Gemütlicheit including food, singing, dancing and brews. Live music will be provided by Tommy Schober and Sorgenbrecher Band.
