Pond Hill FarmHarbor Springs

Visitors are treated to a “winter wonderland” experience. In addition to a field of pre-cut spruce and fir trees, there’s a variety of handmade wreaths and garland to deck your halls. After you find your tree, cross names off your Christmas shopping list with gift baskets of local goodies from Pond Hill’s store. If there’s snow on the ground, the sledding hill will be open as well as miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing, fat tire biking and snowshoeing.

Bill’s Farm Market, Petoskey

On top of snow-covered hills, rows of pre-cut blue spruce, Fraser fir, and balsam firs sit, waiting to be wrapped and strapped to car rooftops by the always friendly market staff. Prefer to cut your own? Bill’s offers that option, too, as well as an abundance of decorations including holly, garland and wreaths!

Groleau’s Farm Market, Traverse City

Browse a variety of fresh-cut trees and a “full-service” staff ready to help you drill and load your perfect pick. With wreaths, garland, lots of canned goods, maple syrup and honey also available at the farm market, you can deck your halls and your dinner table in one stop.

This family-owned farm has been growing Christmas trees for more than 46 years. Bonus, it’s right down the road from Boyne Highlands and Pleasantview Vineyards. Cut-your-own or pre-cut trees are available.

Robinson Family Christmas Tree Farm, Traverse City

Walk the farm and pick a tree for the Robinson crew to cut (and bring to your car!) or select from pre-cut trees while listening to Christmas music. Don’t forget to stop by the barn after you pick your tree to get a wreath and free hot chocolate and homemade chocolate chip cookies! The kids will love watching the goats and steer, and you can bring your dogs along and let them run.

Meister’s Farm, Marquette

This four-generation family farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula offers a wide selection of wreaths and Christmas trees—Fraser, Balsam, White Spruce, Blue Spruce and more. Grab a saw and cut your own tree or if that’s not your style, they’ve got pre-cut trees ready to go. Before you head out, take the kids on a wagon ride to visit Santa and check out the adorable farm animals.
