Civic Center’s Howe Arena | Traverse City
The Civic Center offers daytime and evening open skate sessions ($4 or $5 per person depending on the time of day) along with skate rentals for $3. Here’s the skating schedule.
Ice Skating Park | Suttons Bay
Enjoy pick-up hockey games and free skating at the Suttons Bay outdoor rink located on the corner of Broadway and Lincoln Street. The area is lighted, has picnic benches and portable restrooms.
Griffin Arena | Harbor Springs
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, this indoor rink offers a special “Stick and Puck” open skate from noon to 1:20 p.m. and then a regular open skate following from 1:30 to 2:50 p.m. Open skate costs $5 and skate rental is $3. Check the schedule for open skate times on Saturdays.
The Homestead | Glen Arbor
The Homestead offers an outdoor ice rink that’s professionally maintained and free to use. No skates? No problem! Skates can be rented from Mountain Flowers (call 231.334.5233 to inquire about equipment availability and pricing). Once you’re done, a hot chocolate or a warm meal are just steps away.
